Leanne Flinn is a freelance Casting Director providing a bespoke service for commercials, music videos, film and TV. She started off in Street Casting starting her career with Director Daniel Wolfe and the award winning music videos for Plan B. She now focuses on traditional casting methods with occasional street casting and has gone on to cast some exciting projects.
Leanne is delighted to have won 2 D&AD pencil awards, a Silver British Arrow, 2 Ciclope casting awards, a CDG award and several Casting Director Association awards.
As a trained actor, attending Italia Conti on the musical theatre course, Leanne has developed a creative approach to casting and has a very good eye for spotting talent, interesting faces and the ability to communicate ideas and get people on board!
Notable Credits include This Girl Can, Absolut ‘Equal Love, Uniqlo ‘Move’, John Smiths, Coinbase and many many more commercials… She has also worked on features, street casting on Yorgos Lanthimos’s film The Favourite (CD- Dixie Chassay), assistant casting director on ‘ill manors’(CD- Dan Hubbard), ‘Catch me Daddy’(CD- Lucy Pardee),‘The Goob’& ‘Blood Cells’(CD-Kharmel Cochrane). Plus casting director on TV, music promos & award winning short films such as ‘People Just Do Nothing’,The Shoes ‘Time to Dance’ promo with Jake Gyllenhaal, Plan B ‘Defamation of Strickland Banks’ album, Dua Lipa, Marina and Adrienne and Bafta nominated shorts Gorka and Such a Lovely Day (co-cast with Dixie Chassay).
Leanne is a member of the CDG- Casting Directors Guild, a board member of the CDA- Casting Directors Association and a Bafta Connect Member.
